Established in 1972, Golden State Humane Society provides low-cost spay, neuter, vaccine, and basic veterinary care with a focus on under-served communities and the reduction of unwanted dogs and cats in Southern California.  They do this by operating two animal care clinics in Orange County and South Los Angeles and providing humane education outreach.

They are a registered 501c3 non-profit charity funded by public donations. EIN #23-7297778

They are not a full-service hospital and do not provide comprehensive diagnostics or emergency care.  They are not an animal shelter and cannot accept surrendered animals, nor do they have animals available for adoption.  They are required by law to deliver abandoned animals to animal control.

They have several programs for Veterans, Youth mentoring and care  of feral animals.
